Deaf Ears - Breakfast Club

From the school website (06 February 2008) : “Would like the school to have a breakfast club, so that working mums who start early have an option to drop children off at school early.”

There are so many schools that provide breakfast club support - why cannot Duke Street ?

I am disgusted that nobody has responsed to my comments. I think Duke street is a big enough school to have a breakfast club. My mother in law drops the children off and when she was on a weeks holiday, I had to pay £85 to busy bees just for dropping them off for less than an hour before they took them to school. I am prepared to pay half the amount to a school I know my children would benefit from it. Lets see if anybody answers this question.

This is what it's all about !

At last we have a voice - pass the word !

With enough support things will have to change the way we want them to - it's about time our views and opinions were acknowledged.

(Whilst the building's getting bigger the school is getting smaller - I wonder why ?)

I thought a bit more about the breakfast club and came across a couple of useful links on the internet :

and

All we need is for the school to listen !

Just watched the videos.
Think breakfast club is a fantastic idea espcially if run by parent volunteers on a rota.
Our children need never stand out in the cold again.
Take a lot of organising though.--Ah its nice to dream!

quite clearly ananymous is very self centred. I can clearly understand why the comment has been posted, however do these inconsiderate parents appreciate, that a lot of working parents work in schools and have their own famalies to look after. Maybe instead of slagging a school off with negative comments, these so called faceless parents should come up with positive ideas to support the school and their children. It seems to me, it is very easy to hide behind a useless blog, when I have always found, school staff approachable and willing to respond to positive ideas

Please read the information we have found out about breakfast clubs.

At no time has it been suggested that it was the responsibility of teaching staff to organise and run such a club.

Of course anonymous is self centred when it comes to caring for her children and in no way should she be labelled inconsiderate.

It is clear from the content of the above comment that it has been written by a member of staff.

How about working with us - not against us !
